Dr. Loffer was in the private practice of gynecology in Phoenix, Arizona from 1968 to 2009. He was Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Loffer has been active in gynecologic endoscopy and minimally invasive outpatient surgery since 1970. He began practicing hysteroscopy in 1973. He is Past President of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and currently is their Medical Director. Dr. Loffer has authored 48 peer review papers and 17 chapters, primarily in the area of gynecologic endoscopy. He is on the editorial board of 2 journals and has been an ad hoc reviewer for 13 medical journals. He has frequently lectured in the United States and throughout the world and has demonstrated endoscopic surgical procedures in 14 foreign countries.
He holds an A.B. and M.D. degree from Stanford University in California. His residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was at the University of Minnesota Hospital, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
