The Organizing Committee of the Global Congress on Hysteroscopy has kept in mind the principles of sustainability, right from the location, to the design, and execution of the congress. 

Meliá Hotels International has created the program Road to Net Zero Events with the aim of proving its commitment and care for sustainability in the meetings and events segment.

Thanks to Meliá's collaboration with the company Creast, a cutting-edge technology has been conceived that allows to calculate in real-time the carbon footprint of groups and events held in the hotels, helping clients make more responsible decisions.

The Hotel Melia Sitges is also Ecostars® Certified. This is a hotel-specific sustainability certification that awards eco-stars based on a hotel's environmental impact per stay including energy and water consumption, CO2 footprint, recycling methods, the use of products from sustainable sources, reduction of single-use plastics, cruelty-free products, and ethical practices. The Hotel Meliá Sitges also collaborates with the Sant Joan de Deu Hospital on a regular basis.
