Trained at the Ac. Med. Center of the University of Amsterdam. Was working in the Spaarne Hospital (University of Amsterdam), and now in the University Med. Center Utrecht and at the Bergman Clinics Hilversum (NL). He is a specialist in advanced hysteroscopic surgery and Asherman Syndrome.

Recently he was appointed as visiting professor at the University of Ghent (B). He invented Tissue Removal Systems and Hysterosalpingo Foam Sonography (HyFoSy).
